Realize Your Worth

“I was bullied. I lost my confidence. I felt worthless. Useless. Of no use. I even thought about ending everything. Some say high school was the best. To me, it was the worst. I was surrounded by fake, two-faced people who smile at you but go straight to insulting you when you’re not around. Since then, I’ve lost my trust in humanity. I do try to trust people now but, sometimes, I don’t even trust myself. I feel weak.”

Of no use? You are not a thing. You are a person. You have worth. Don’t let other people and their actions define you and, even more so, do not let them determine your value. You were brought into this world for a reason. Find it and thrive. Find your confidence. Find your worth, not by how others see you but by how you see yourself. You are loved. By me. By your friends. Most importantly, by God. Don’t waste the love you are given. YOU ARE NOT USELESS! People will always talk. Let them. What’s important is that you become confident in yourself. When you are truly confident and aware of your worth, what people say about you won’t matter. Remember: their words and actions say more about them than about you. So, live your life. LIVE it. Reach your dreams and achieve your goals. Show those who ever bullied and discouraged you that you are not useless; that you are somebody worthy of the life you’ve been given. Don’t waste it. Be successful. Because the best way to get back at the people who told you you can’t is to show them you can.

Question: If a $100 bill fell to the ground, got stepped on, trampled on and damaged by whatever came its way, how much is it worth?
Answer: $100.
Lesson: No matter what you go through, your struggles and heartaches, your worth does not change. It’s only how you see it that does.
